Hi there, my name's David Scarlett, I'm an experienced instrumental tutor with over 20 years playing experience and over 8 years spent teaching.
I began learning an instrument at the age of 6, when I first picked up a violin, encouraged by my teacher - many years later, here I am doing the same!
Since that day, I've also learnt several other instruments, and can now teach a selection of musical disciplines. Having read classical music at Goldsmiths College and gained my BMus, studying violin throughout and continuing my professional playing experience, I look to pass on that same love of performance and music to my students.
When I'm teaching, I work to give my students a personalised and enjoyable learning experience, and to help them get the best out of the instrument, whatever their level and goals.
